Citrus Dreams: Inspired by the Amalfi Coast, with a twist. Created for Colorful Homes
Some collections begin with a specific idea. Others seem to unfold naturally as each painting leads to the next.
For me, Citrus Dreams started with an Amalfi Coast love story.
Later this year, we'll be getting married in Sorrento, Italy! As we began planning our wedding, I found myself inspired by the colors of the region. Everywhere I looked, there were brilliant blue waters, vibrant pink florals, cheerful yellow lemons, and colorful seaside villages perched above the Mediterranean Ocean.
As an artist, it didn't take long before those colors found their way into my home and then the studio. Even our Mardi Gras costumes this year had a lemon theme! And before I knew it, I was creating bright lemon paintings.
The first paintings I created for this collection were inspired by the iconic Amalfi Coast lemons. I loved the contrast of bright citrus yellow against bold turquoise blues and vivid pinks, and soon my easel was filled with textured lemon paintings in a variety of sizes. Once the color palette was established, the collection began to grow beyond lemons alone.
Citrus hued floral-crowned pelicans, tropical pink flamingos, sculpted blooms, and other colorful subjects gradually joined the collection, all connected by the same joyful spirit and vibrant palette that first inspired me. While each painting tells its own story, together they celebrate sunshine, color, and the simple happiness that comes from surrounding ourselves with the beauty of the world around us.

One of my favorite aspects of Citrus Dreams is the variety of sizes included in the collection.
Alongside larger statement pieces, you'll find an assortment of smaller original paintings and minis that can be displayed individually or mix and match to create a colorful gallery wall.

The Beauty of Textured Palette Knife Paintings
Every piece in this collection was painted using my signature palette knife technique, building thick layers of acrylic paint to create rich texture and dimension.
I love that textured artwork changes as the light moves throughout the day. From across the room, the paintings are vibrant and colorful. Up close, the sculptural layers reveal countless details that can't be fully appreciated in a photograph. The texture makes you want to reach out and touch them!
Each painting is an original work of art, created by hand in my studio and designed to bring color, personality, and joy into the spaces where people gather and make memories.
